24. December

Christmas eve with 9 people at the table! I think it is new record. We had a very nice evening!

23. Dcember

We are in Trondheim! My home town!

21. and 22. December

These days were used to travelling. When looking back, so much happened in these two days it felt like four. Work, home, traffic in Helsinki centrum, drive on board a ship, watch a show, drive off in Sweden and do my first ever alcohol-test from the police in the harbor, drive from Stockholm to Trondheim in 14.5 hours....

Some pictures to tell the tale:

20. December

PHEW!
We are leaving for holiday tomorrow!!!!!!
And I did some gift-shopping, packing, driving in queue, packing, cleaning. All this typical "last-minute-before-leaving" kind of things.

Although I did actually have time for getting amused and a bit annoyed at this product.... A complete package for all your needs of five-day fasting. HÖ? you need a bunch of stuff to eat while not eating? And its supposed to "freshen you up"??? I have probably a million things to say about a crap product like this, but then again. kinda in a hurry to do other things more fun/important....

19. December

It is 2 days till we are on our way to Norway. I can't really believe it, since this means that it is also christmas soon. Here it is rain, dark, and no christmas feeling at all. And to top it off, I have become stressed about the journey, which makes me mis-calulate everything. I seem to believe that time either moves very fast, or very slow.
So, today's picture is then to show the randomness that can come from stress. Item found in a discount-type-store. Scythe approved by vikings. Must be worth the 1€ it cost!

Sunday 18 December 2011

15. 16. 17. and 18. December

It seems to be so that with exams two Fridays in a row, the Christmas calendar have to wait on the sideline.

Well, here is my four days in a bunch.
Thursday 15. december.
Salary! Gift shopping! Gift planning! Haircut! Alas, there has to be limits of the time spent to this, as there is an exam the next day. But I got to go to Toys r'us and the hairdresser, where I got the longest head massage in ages. Everyone should have one of these around christmas time. No picture of the hairdo yet.

Friday 16. December.
Exam! Plenty of writing, a zumba lesson and plenty of writing more. I hope I get a good grade, because this I felt good about delivering. A whole lot of good came out from taking that 15 credits course in anatomy and physiology last spring. This exam today was mainly about the human digestive and endocrine system, with the angle towards nutrients.

Saturday 17. December.
We go celebrate Mattis birthday. I learn again that I suck at pool, and that Janne is expert. A fun evening where we actually danced to mid- ninety's hits in a bar. OMG.

Sunday 18. December.
Gift wrapping, gift delivering and receiving. The cat helped again this year of course. I have pondered about next weeks travel, and mused about how the weather will be.... I really hope the wind is quiet when we are on the boat....

Wednesday 14 December 2011

14. December

One day before salary, two days till the next take-at-home exam. So, quite busy still with the reading. I guess it's just as well that its now, so I have the money and time to go shopping afterwards! Can't wait till its over for now. How is it that deadlines from more courses than one end up on the same week always.... Ant that its those deadlines you cant avoid this "last minute feeling" by planning your reading/writing in advance....hmh!

We got christmas cards in the mail! Here's one! Thank you Laura!

13. December

In Scandinavia this is the day of st.Lucia. I am unsure, however, why this patroness saint of Eyesight or Blindness (of all things..) has become so traditional and popular a festival here where its basically strictly protestant church through the history of christianity in this region. There are no saints in protestantism?

Besides, the whole saint-things are quite disturbing. This girl was brutally tortured by boiling oil and other popular torture-tech with no result, so they cut out her eyes and killed her. The saint is portrayed with holding her eyes on a plate in front of her.
Nice Swedish/Scandinavian christmas tradition ... The modern version is that she brings light, (the name is derived from Lux =modern measure of light strength...) yellow and weird shaped buns and has a white dress with a wide red belt. She traditionally even has blond hair and is supposed to help people. In other words, not so much to do with a sicilian girl tortured in the 300 AD. Other than maybe the red symbolizes blood, the weird shaped buns are... the eyes on display??
I've never understood these saints things. And very much less so, when I have learned more about what they actually got to their status of sainthood for....

However, today I got some lemons from a coworker that had bought them in Egypt! They look more like paled limes, but the locals had said and reassured that "this was lemons!" Long traveled food! Which smells extremely good, almost like citrus candies. They are going in my tea tonight. I love this kind of culinary treats! Thank you Anne =)

12. December

As this day (and several more of them to come...) revolves around nutrition, food and energy intake, I figured a picture of my cats eating habits would be fitting. We have wondered at times if she is supposed to be a pig.

Study, study, study! Four days till next exam!  Nutrition physiology FTW! yeee..

Sunday 11 December 2011

11. December

When I wrote " 'nuff said" under the ring photo of 10th Christmas calendar day, I lied. I do want to say something else about our engagement.
Janne had really put effort into this day. It was luxury and lovely and total win. First we went to a packed movie theater, where we watched "Tower heist". Quite funny movie I think and fitting little hint for what was to happen later. After we had dinner in a very classy seafood restaurant (and believe me, these are hard to find in Finland. The ones that can really do the fish and from fresh ingredients!). Rivoli. If ever in Helsinki, try it! It's like walking into another dimension or timeline. The world of rain and modern stuff is left at the door, where you will be served as a VIP from the first moment.

Janne had snails for apertizer, where I had green salad with parmesan slices. I tried one of the snails, despite my moment of almost freaking, I mean... it IS snails we are talking about! Slugs! But it was quite good, texture almost like mushrooms, with good marinade.
I had eaten almost a bag of licorice in the movie before and felt a bit sticky and full... so the salads vinaigrette was a good help for what were to come for the rest of the meal. It woke up the appetite, exactly as starters are supposed to do, haha.
I had Alaskan king crab! It was extremely good, and also very hard not to start playing with the food, because of the big claw and the amount of tools that I had in front of me. I have never eaten this before yesterday, and found it well worth the try! Texture more like meat than fish or other crustaceans, and a rich but mild taste. I didn't even use the provided dill butter much (and I usually eat much sauce and dressings and the like).
For dessert a fantastic masterpiece of raspberry creme bruleè with hand made raspberry ice cream, which really gave this übersweet dessert the acidity and freshness that lifted it to the maximum.
The staff in this place was supreme professionals. I have rarely seen waitresses that are 50-60 years old, PLUS being a complete pro and following all the rules and laws of serving others. Much appreciation from us!

Well out in the real world again, where the rain and wind had ceased, Janne asked if we should go for a glass of wine together, before we left town. Sure, sounds great, I agreed. After some hundred meters of walking, Janne pointing out all of the other restaurants he was thinking about or actually having a table reservation at, just in case, he told me he had a surprise. And if I wanted to know it now or later. The surprise was huge. The glass of wine that we were going to take was waiting for us in a hotel suite that was reserved for us in Hotelli Torni (= hoel tower. Big attraction hotel in the centre of Helsinki, the one that always blinks like glitter in the top spire).... I couldn't really believe it at first. But there we were. Mini suite and the wine tested, me giggling because of the surprise and because Janne had fixed with essential needs of over night stuff, there was one surprise more, he said. Kneeling with velvet box in hand, although I had my suspicions already, I'm happy it was true!

I have been proposed to in the classic romantic fashion, and I loved it! Nobody has ever done such an effort and romantics for me. *love*
It became a little novel, but so be it. 10.12.11 is going to be remembered as the day where cheeks got cramps for all the smiling and laughing, and because of my beautiful fiance.

Oh and my phone died of battery-loss in a very timely fashion, but got some poor-quality restaurant pictures to share!

10. December

'nuff said :D

7. 8. and 9. December

I just had to bulk-post these, as the last part of this week got a bit filled up with technical problems(new motherboard, ram and no functioning card-reader + internets fancy to turn on and off at will), preparations for exam, and the actual exam. So now we have it here!

7. December:
Day filled with reading, reading, reading.
This is not my actual study-table, but wouldn't it be fun if it were? Instead I have several 1000+ pages books and online lectures.

8. December:
Arne Alligator visited my workplace and held a concert for the kids! Thank you to the helpful and kind people that helped finance it! It was majorly popular for both kids and us bigger kids (="adults"). Oh and my phones camera sucks, hence the poor quality.

9. December:
I have a take-at-home-exam, straight after work. It was about immunology and food intolerance and allergies, so the fitting image of a evil looking snake from this summers visit to the zoo seems appropriate? (as no pictures of a write-frenzied Lisa was taken).

Tuesday 6 December 2011

6. December

Today Finns celebrate their independence day. Most of them nursing a colorful hangover...

Me, however, have used my day off work to study prions and antimocribial peptides, been to a lecture online and gotten restless feet. And apparently, its fully acceptable to wait 1.5 hrs for two lukewarm pizzas to be delivered to your home (even if the kitchen making them are situated not 500 m from here), without any cut in price. Food hygene and quality customer service on its best.

And in the spirit of the day, I picked a picture with fitting theme in the colours. This prettyness was on my car roof the other day, natures wonders of beauty in crystalised water.

Monday 5 December 2011

5: December

Read any blogs lately where you sit back with envy and astonishment at their cleverness, creativity, imaginative creations and a whole lot of "aaargh if only I had the time to do all this!! Do they even do a honest days work, that takes up most of their days!??" ??

This is to show how I believe "normal" people do all of their fancy design work. Or, it's to tell about what took place before the showing off the supreme results that makes everyone want to envy those before mentioned bloggers.

September 2009; there is a sale in Bauhaus, I get a clever idea about a very pretty wall-sticker I found.
October 2009; the idea takes form, and has most of what is needed to create it. The search for a frame-less, large-enough wall clock starts.
End of October 2009: the perfect clockwork was found and bought.

Suddenly, Christmas gifts has to be shopped and shipped. New year come and go, and the clock has been put to a cabinet, we study and life goes on.

July 2010: I start renovating and painting another room, and gain interest for a whole lot of other projects (result 1, result 2)
August 2010: "Why don't we also put that clock on the wall, now when we have so much action on the interior front" my boyfriend asks. "good idea" is my answer.
...

About a year later, the clock is finally on the wall.

And let me just teach you something from this experience: Don't let wall-stickers with this amount of detail sit in a closet too long. The HÄSSÄKKÄ to put it up is enormous. The glue is old, sticky and leaves chunks of paper where it shouldn't be. And all this time the whole project has been consisting of TWO parts: sticker+clock (*embarrassment*)

Result is pretty, and without this whole story, most people would have the reaction that I get sometimes when I read about other peoples nice looking creations on their blog.

4. December

...got delayed!

Because of this:

Saturday 3 December 2011

3. December

The smell of Christmas has come to the house. We have made piparkakkuja, gingerbread cookies, pepperkaker, brunekager, and all of the dear names that a loved cookie carry. I sneaked at least ten in the process of them being cooled enough. They are best when hot, and made together with small friends that are excited about the Christmas which is getting ever closer.

This weekend we have our once-a-month boys present, and for the first time in soon to be a year with this sometimes weekend parenting I crashed (and slept for who knows how long?) on the sofa while reading, the boys were playing games.
Could have been all the noise and people that we endured while we were in Barona arena, checking out zillions of free stuff, toys, pizzas and child-friendly activities. Fun, free, play and nicely arranged everything made this a good one to go to (although the youngest one got a bit shy and nervous at first with all the hundreds of peeps).

2. December

Christmas calendar is a little delayed, but better than never. This picture was taken some weeks ago, when we drove back from Kotka on father's day. We made a pit-stop in the little town Loviisa, to see if we could get a look at the nuclear power plant that is there. Since Janne hasn't seen one of those before (and has been living with nuclear power all of his life...), we figured since it was on the way home.....

We never found it. But we found these lovely little bath-houses in stead. Looks like a Tardis-meeting (if they were a little darker blue....)

And yes, it is supposed to be winter here, but the grass is green and no snow is in sight.

Thursday 1 December 2011

1. December

Today there were many children waking up early for the big event: the Christmas calendar. I don't have one, so I figured that I'd make one instead. A picture a day.

Can I succeed? Well, if one does not shoot the goals up high, one can only achieve modest results..
Behind door number one sits a confused season....

We have had frost, warmth, frost, warmth. on and on.
This morning the temperature showed -4C. When I walked home at 14, the temperature was warm enough to make trees believe it was the time to shoot some leaves.

New trends in the gym and the holy Finnish Friday

...not when it comes to fashion or something, but a behavioral pattern that I have discovered lately on my gym. The classes given on friday evenings have become more and more popular! Here in Finland generally the friday evenings are holy and people rarely do anything outside of their home or cottage. People tend to leave work at the earliest point possible to get the weekend started, and get to their destination of weekend-celebration asap.

But in my gym (for women only) the customers have gradually increased in numbers. Especially for happenings after 1630. Yesterday I looked at the almost full Zumba-lesson that I was attending (at 1800) with a bit of disbelief.... Normally we have been 20 people, tops. Now it was over double.
And afterwards, there is quite the gossip-gathering in the sauna, which means, there is not any hurry to get anywhere for many people. And this was not the first week that it has happened.

This is very un-Finnish behavior! Positive, Hell Yes! But quite suspicious. What has happened? Nothing starts from nothing....

Workout-aholic

After unsuccessfully going through my closet this week to throw out and give away old/unwanted stuff, I met a mood in downhill. I had to throw out several pants because they had become too small...

The will to continue with this task then fluttered away very fast.
Upon telling this to some coleagues, they could hardly believe me, and laughingly accused me for putting it upside down, that they had become too big. Alas, no. Why they couldn't believe this; I'm the sporty one. The one that jogs home from work, or take the bike. I'm the one that hopes to inspire to healthier snacks (if any) on the coffe break. I'm the one that actually use the value of my gym membership to what its worth. I'm the one that get a great feeling writing workout diary.

I've been doing Zumba and gym 2-3-4 times a week, plus all the jogging/bicyckling to and from work. Also I do pilates at home about once a week. I have an active job, and eat way healthier than many I know. So the reason for this grouwing-out-of-pants is to me quite tough to absorb and analyze the reason why. Only different that could have effect is; I don't do as much weightlifting as before, and I'm getting older... :S *brrr*

SO: today I'm going to the gym together with Moni from work, to teach eachother how to do Kettlebells, as none of us know much about it, other than that I tried last week some simple movements and got impressed by the force and feeling these handled globs of pounds kan create.

Today is day one of Kettlebell'ing, exercise routine is found from norwegian magazine "iForm".
All movements is continous, one-rep per movement in same hand. Alternate hands and repeat routine for 20 minutes.
1: one-handed swing
2: one-handed swing with row
3: Clean
4: Shoulder press up
5: Front squats
6: Back lunge

I'm planning to try keep this routine for 3 weeks if, after testing it later today, I find it to be suitable for my shoulder(which has the knack of messing up many workouts). Two times per week, plus at LEAST one hour Zumba (I'm hooked)
After this, I'll change program, maybe to some BodyRock inspired routines.

Let the burn begin!

Saturday 16 July 2011

I have a CAR!

Peugeot 206 to be more exact. Its T.A.R.D.I.S blue, and has a registration number that begins with the norwegian word for "who", so what else can I call my little blue box (on wheels) than "The T.A.R.D.I.S". Calling it The Doctor would be downright wrong.

So I can proudly announce that I have bought a tardis. ;)

The keymonster I have made together with Eve, and there's alot more comming, as these little guys are easy to get hooked on making.

We tested the car a little bit today, out to a place called Porkkalaudden in swedish. It was way longer than any of us had imagined, and our cat got carsick :( Happily she got over it pretty fast when she was on unmoving ground again. But it sortof put a dampener on the feeling of standing in a beautiful coastal area, where we had come to watch the sun go down, so we didn't stay much longer than what time it took to pick some flowers and find (and eat) huge blueberries.

A one-day holiday

Saturday the 28th of May, I took the bus to a little place near here that is called Åhus. Its located on the coastal line of Kristianstad municipality, right on the mouth of  the river Helge å where it meets the sea. The town itself is said to have been there since the beginning of the first millennium, although the oldest settlements you can see the remains of today is the ruins of Aose hus, a castle that belonged to the archbishop Eskil. The building is dated back to the early 1100 ad. It was dug forth from tons of sand during the end of 17th century. I didn't go there myself, as it was quite out of my route.

The reason why I went to Åhus was to see the beach, the legendary hundreds of kilometers long sand beach. All white and totally beautiful. And as a bonus I discovered that the "centrum" of the town had quite interesting historical landmarks.
And let me just tell you, the beach was fantastically beautiful. I hope I can bring my friends and family there to enjoy it in the future, because this was completely stunning! And the silence! I thought I had come on a holiday where everything was closed or everyone just happened to have gone out of town, save for a few fishermen. All you could hear was the waves, the wind and my own personal thoughts. Could be that I happened to be there on a day that didn't offer the best of weather, but none the less, totally worth it. It was just sad that I had no one to show this to, to share the sights with...

The sand in my shoes and pockets(!) are clear reminders of a beautiful day.
The names are those who are sponsors of the pier.
One of the sights grabbed my attention and imagination. It’s called the sarcophagus. It was a giant 8 ton stone box with lid, that had been pulled from a boat wreckage that was discovered on only 3m deep water in the bay south of a place called Revhaken close by. They pulled up one of the sarcophagi in the cargo in the 1950's, they placed it near the ruin of S:t Annas cloister, and is clearly a local myth creator. You could clearly see that the water had eaten on it for a long time. What I found most mystifying, was that this piece of historical display (if one should say so) didn't have any plaque or sign on it saying what this was, just a little comment on the sign telling about S:t Annas cloister. Every other piece of archaeology in this area had detailed information about it nearby. I wonder what was its purpose?? And for that matter, all of the remaining underwater copies of this one. How old is it and why did the ship sink on that shallow water? Did they overload it and it just sank and was left there? Where did the ship come from, why did it have a cargo of sarcophagi? I mean, what is the popular demand of those? One every king death?
And as it seems, ABSOLUT vodka are produced here.

During my stay there the weather started to become more and more gray, almost onto raining. Quickly deciding that I had seen what needed to be seen and hurried onto a bus leaving back to Kristianstad.

The Dragon mystery

When I was in Gothenburg with Amanda some weeks back, I bought these lovely earrings from a very interesting shop, called Avi & Lena.

They have now been missing two times, and I have never used them. The first time was just after I'd returned from the journey, and unpacked only sporadically (so of course it was laying in a bag), but this last time I was on the verge of panic, that today I couldn't find them anywhere, I even looked behind the fridge.

The reason for this panicky searching?
I live in a 29m2 flat here in Kristianstad, with only a room and a bathroom, and nobody except me has keys to this place. The conclusion I took then was that someone has been in my flat without me knowing it. Panic and short breathing started to spread.... Could people just come in here as they pleased?? Paranoid thoughts accompanied the panicky feeling...

But then again, logically, why take a tiny pouch with earrings, and not my camera or laptop, worth way more?
So they must be here somewhere, I tried to say to myself. I searched through the little stuff I have here, several times over. I even started to lift mattresses to see if I had for some reason walked in my sleep and hidden it there, but no. On the fourth time I upside-downed one of my purses the little black pouch they are stored in came into view. I can't understand WHY I found it on the fourth time, and not the first. I mean, I literally poured out this little purses contents three times before I found my pouch-o-Dragon earrings on the last go. Hence the title.

Has anyone else had this kind of situation?

Kids + boredom =...?

Yesterday I was in H&M for some haircolor, queue-ing for the cashier. There was a father with his two kids, a girl and a boy, waiting on the side, I guess the mom was in the line in front of me.

The girl was restless, as it is very boring to wait endlessly when you are little. She walked a bit around, and fumbled with stuff on the shelves. And the waiting started to be boringly long.

I have this space invaders bag, right, check the picture. A little bit of nostalgia there. Anyway.

This little girl suddenly walks up to my purse, she is so small that she has to stretch to reach its front, pretends to pick one of the space invaders from the purse, and put it in her mouth! She even smacked with her lips and pretended it was good! haha!!!

It really made standing in queue worth it!

There's something about the water

I've been here in Kristianstad, Skåne län, Sweden now for over a week, and there is something about the water that makes me wonder.

For one, it tastes very different. Which I noticed this weekend when I was in Göteborg with Amanda. The water here just tastes... plasticy.. ish. hard to describe really. But its not a fresh or refreshing taste.

And its IMPOSSIBLE to feel that the soap is fully rinsed away from dishes, showering, washing hands, hairwash etc. My hair looks like a bland dull red cloth that has been out in the sun too long. I'm worrying a bit about coloring it. Will I ever get the chemicals out from the hair?

HOW do the people here do it? I've seen people with shiny, clean and no leftover-soap-look in their hair. Do they have very long showers, or is there a secret "Skåne-soap" that everyone use?

And I washed a white tank top here the other day, it came back with weird-ass looking stains on it. Like the yellowish brown color that can come on the inside of mens white shirt collars after long time use. But it was on the outside of the top. I swear it was not spilled on or spotty before going in the washer.

Is it because the water here contains more minerals, that it feels so different? In any case, I prefer water from my own hometown(s) best.

Children say the darndest things!

A boy in the kindergarden was staring at me for a while, and I looked back on him, smiling, but not saying anything.
"Lisa! I know now why you have red hair!" he said with a most definate tone in his voice, like it was something he had pondered about for a long time. For I do indeed have very RED hair.
I ask back, "aha, why is that then?"

"Because you come from Norway!"
...
I think I lifted one eyebrow and mumbled something like a questionmark, because the follow-up from the boy was quick before I could say much more:
"Because Norway's flag has so much red in it!"

Ah the wonders of their little lives, so many things they figure out in their own cute ways!  ♥

And many have wondered stuff about my hair, a four-year old asked how I managed to get it to stay there in the hair, and not look wet, and another was owerwhelmed by the fact that I had the patience to paint my hair every morning.... :D

Meanwhile, in Helsinki...

...devils gather to knit.
As we learned in main trainstation of Helsinki keskusta today, in the LP section of some store in the subway tunnels...

And the downstairs neighbours (mine, not the ones in hell...) seem to have found back again their toolbox, their hysteria, their way to deaf-ness, and other loud things. Very nice.

welcome spring

Yes I know it was snowing today, and yes I know its still slippery and cold outside... its just... its about time this winter lets go. King Winter, would you so kindly take mr snow and miss ice with you, and go to the place santa claus goes to for the summer-half of the year!
And I haven't even been the one to complain about the minus 25 degrees freaky cold for lengths of time, or the piles and tonnes of snow... not even the darkness of winter time has been a big complaining topic of mine this time around. But now its enough. I want to get that feeling that I have tried to create in my hallway (the picture), and your coldness majesty can't be part of it, sorry.

Oh and by the way, grats to me for feeling very satisfied with my Basic medicine: anatomy and physiology Exam/mid term.

Fracture = vistit the dentist?

As the saying go, misery loves company, it seems painfully true. For me today it's not so overly dramatic and poetic as the saying, but still holds to its point.
When slightly incapacitated sitting here with my taped foot, a filling in my tooth had to "fall" (more like jump) out when being very good and following the advice given by the stern and fingerpointing dentists... -usage of dental floss.
Very fun then, to have to go see the dentist in a hurry, limping and ice-packed streets and all. yey! ( I managed NOT to fall on my ass...)
And I cant say I have ever been afraid for the dentist, but this time was the most foul-tasting and choke-feeling visit of them all. Uncomfortable !!

"yes, if you feel any discomfort, just wave your hand"
-Extensive waving, I'm about to choke-
"okay, can you (the assistant) apply suction here (gesture)...."
-Nothing happens, I start coughing-
-I hit their tool table. Little bit sucktion and rinsing with some drops of water. It still tastes like discust and death-
"yes, if you can just try to breathe calmly through your nose..."
-More coughing-
"your gums are bleeding quite much, so this will take some time...."

YEEESSS!

Mr. Dr. Dentist + company.... small question:
Whats wrong with letting the patient rinse the mouth with water in this situation?? To get that clot of stuff out of there? The thing that makes the patient do things that compromise the work and hence, the time it's going to take??

Easter competition participant

I read alot of different blogs, and many of them is related to interior and decor. One of them is this: Vintage kompagniets blog who is currently holding a easter give-away. Its a Danish online store that sells great amounts of interior decorating items, many with vintage look, and quite many items that actually IS vintage, from French flea markets and antique stores.

I like the style indeed very much, but its hard to implement it into our post-modern rectangular block of a home...And also, a few small items here and there is not neccesarily making the look complete ;) but I include things according to our home colours etc.
And I'm indeed liking the give-away, these are the stuff that is up for "grabs" (or rather: winning ;)) I mean, just look at that gorgeous handcotcheted lace!

By the way, what is a "gækkebrev"? As I read Danish fluently, its silly to see that there is one item that I have no clue what it is, even if the picure can describe it.... The two rolls of handmade paper there on the right, is the gækkebreve. I cant say we have something equivalent in the Norwegian language.

Nåh. anyways. Thanks to Tina, the owner of the blog, in holding a nice little give-away attention gathering.

Fractured toe=restless reading for a week

....at least!
This is not mine...

I wanted to ask the doctor if I could get a copy of my x-ray, but I chickened out...
So I borrowed one from the www(link to owner of picture rights is embedded).

So now I have quite much sitting still time on my hands, as walking is not really very helping the remodeling. But I have plenty to read, ironically enough, curriculum this next two weeks is about skeleton and muscles... :P

Its just so..... very boring to be cooped up inside! Sun is shining, I want to go outside, get fresh air.... But I have to be strict if I don't want to have a weird, and painfully shaped toe....

Thursday 3 March 2011

studying

I've been busy!
Im currently taking a distance- study course in anatomy and physiology! AND I'm finally taking my driver's license. YEY!
So, hence not much blogging.
I'm trying to catch up with the little falling behind that I have managed to do already (in the course, not the blogging...). It's incredible, really, that with only few days of doing something else important business, I've managed to fall back on a few subjects. This course is actually half-speed, so it SHOULD be possible with some stuff in between, like actually cleaning the house properly. Or concentrating on learning how to operate a vehicle a couple of hours in the week...
But then again, seems I have to double back this weekend, and read up on how the nervoussystem functions on a detailed level. And not to forget how sensatory reactions work. yeeey....and then at the same time be updated on what this weeks topic actually was...
So! *pushing self back to reading*

...or dreaming about travelling?
(pictures are from the super ultrafast Tallinn trip we took in august. Speed photography, anyone?)
crazy happy about mowing the lawn?
